Dharma Swami Maharaja Buddha Vihar is located outside the main compound of the Lumbini Monastic Zone in Lumbini. It is a Tibetan styled Gompa built by His Excellence Chogya Trichen Ringboche and Raja of Mustang.

    Dharma Swami Maharaja Buddha Vihar is a Buddhist Gompa belonging to the Sakyapa order. It was established by His Eminence Chogya Trichen Rinpoche. The immense peace and tranquility of the site makes it a perfect place for meditation and quiet introspection. Every day, Tara Pooja is performed by the 60 monks residing in the monastery.

    The key attraction around the Vihar is the peacefulness of the site that makes it a perfect place for meditation. In Vihar, visitors and pilgrims can experience the Tara Puja conducted by 60 monks every day.

    It takes 45 minutes flight from Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu to Bhairahawa Airport, and approximately 30 minutes to reach Lumbini. It is easy to walk or rent a bike to get to the Vihar.
