Royal Thai Buddhist Monastery
The Royal Thai Monastery is located in the East Monastic Zone close to the north end of the pond in Lumbini. It is one of the international monasteries built in Nepal, funded by the government of Thailand. The wonderful Thai-style monastery is built from shiny white marble. The blue-roofed meditation center nearby the monastery attracts pilgrims and visitors from all over the world.

Royal Thai Monastery in Lumbini is an imposing and stunning wat-style (Thai Monastery style) monastery dedicated to Buddhist practices. The gleaming building is constructed from white marble and the blue-roofed meditation center close by are an example of a fine architectural style. The beautiful designs and carving on the temple wall make this place a must-visit.

The Key attraction around the monastery is the beautiful designs and carving on the temple displaying a fine Thai architecture style. During the visit to Thai Monastery, visitors can see the different styles of the monastery, feel a peaceful environment, and can also enjoy lunch between 12-1 pm daily.
It takes nearly 30 minutes by drive from Bhairahawa Airport to reach the Lumbini monastic zone and then 5-10 minutes by walk to reach the monastery.
